WHAT'S NEW?!
The SMKDU Board
of Prefects extends a warm welcome to the newly elected prefects.
As of 14th June, the Form Four committee members, under the leadership
of Sin I Lin, has taken over the management. A beginning as well as an
end. A beginning for the Form 4 prefects who will be running the board
while this marks the end of the Form Five prefects' service to the school
as they have to prepare themselves for the upcoming SPM examination.
New Prefect Book
Have you noticed that the morning session prefects are no longer holding their
prefect books? You may wonder, have the prefects stopped writing down
names? Not exactly. We have decided to change the prefect book to a pocket-sized
version for the convenience of all. .
Collar Pin
Good news to those who have yearned for the prefects' collar pin. It is now
for sale and orders can be made to the Treasurer. The 1995 design remains.
Prefects' T-shirt
Perhaps the most disappointing news was that
the goal to have a prefects' T-shirt in 1998 was not acheived. Therefore, the
1999/2000 prefects have made an aim to get the goal accomplished. Approval has
been given by the teacher advisor. However, we NEED your help to make this
dream come true. Kindly send your designs and ideas to Goh Chin Chai (4 Jati)
immediately.

The Cyberteam is recruiting
its members. To our prefects who are interested in being part of the team and have
some knowledge in computing, do contact us through
e-mail. Plans are being made to create a page for the afternoon session
prefects.

have received an exclusive invitation to join the KDU Leadership Club.
Regular self-development
activities are organised to provide basic and advanced skills in leadership
areas. Apart from developing valuable leadership skills, members can expect
to grow mentally, physically, socially and psychologically and become well-rounded
individuals who excel in all they do.
Most of all,
the can expect to have good fun in doing so. Upon registration, members
will receive their membership cards which will entitle them to a host of
benefits which include free use of the college recreational and academic
facilities, dining incentives, KDU's Leadership activities and more! Moreover,
membership is totally free!

through mail.
