SMKDU Prefects Camp 1998. Behold. The Legacy . . . Ah..it sure brings back memories doesn’t it? Being at camp is no easy feat. You will perpetually face a multitude of depression, pressure, frustration and what nots. But at camp, we also experience fun, fUN , FUNNNN, fFFUUuUUNNnn and more fun. Cool huh!? (Its also much more fun than spending your whole life in front of the computer screen doing none-other than IRC-ing!) We, the prefects of SMKDU were really looking forward to this camp, alright.
This year, the prefects' camp of SMKDU was held at Sungai Congkak, Hulu Langat. It was indeed a thrilling experience for us all. This camp, organized by Chu Kwang, Chin Chen, Peggy and other committee members was held with success in the month of June.
2 days before camp. What to wear? What to bring?? ... Got Ghost-ah ?? Ehh....got Grammy Awards laa Saturday Night..... and sounds of such echoed on and on among the excited and ever-so-enthusiastic prefects.
We looked foward to the camp for various reasons. One of our MAIN reasons,obviously, was to "Mengeratkan hubungan antara para pengawas". Other reasons were like to get to know each other better, having some sense of cooperation among the afternoon and morning prefects, to work together as a team ...etc (The usual lahh) **grINnn**
The day of the camp arrived. "ForTunATeLy", we didn't get to miss a day of school because we were leaving in the afternoon. Good thing too. I wouldn't wanna miss a lesson of Mathematics to go camping. :) Anticipation, excitement and eagerness could be seen on all our faces (ooh, ahh.). After getting ourselves in order, we left school.
Not long later, we arrived at Sg. Congkak. A very friendly camp coordinator was there to meet us and to brief us on what was gonna happen the next few days. Lets not go into minor details lah kay.
So lets put it this way. We had a few main activities like the Blind Trail, the hike to the river, the long-walk-by-yourself-in-the-forest-in-the-middle-of-the-night-not-knowing-just-what-might-happen activity [I forgot what it's called, but I tell you, it's damn chun.]-imagine walking on a trail you can't even see because it's pitch black darkness all around you and all you see are dark shadows and all you hear are leaves rustling, your footsteps as well as your breathing getting harder and louder.Shadows move about as you walk further and deeper into the forest. Not daring to turn and look, you continue your journey - not knowing when you're gonna stop and how long more before you actually see light again. For the hike right, our accompanying teachers actUaLLy went with us throughout the whole thing and I tell you, it wasn't that easy. wooHoOoo!!! clapclapClaPAclaPclaP!! =) *giGGleSSs**
3 days later, about 50 grubby prefects got dressed in their uniforms and got ready for the ride back. Some of us tired, some of us still high, some of us with no feeling whatsoever. Kesimpulannya, it was a super-duper-ultra-cHUNnn camp :) and those who didn't come-ah...damn wasted!! =P
